Padang – Curriculum andEducational Technology is a department at the Faculty of Education, UNP, one of the focuses is on developing media and learning resources in the form of audio, video, text, and multimedia. To improve the existence and experience of students and graduates, the leadership of the Curriculum andEducational Technology department has collaborated with the Balai Pengembangan Media Radio Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (BPMRPK). This was realized in the form of the signing of a cooperation letter which was carried out in the FIP Senate Meeting Room which was attended by the Deputy Dean 1 of FIP, Dr. Hadiyanto, M.Ed, lecturers of the Curriculum andEducational Technology Department, Management of Radio TP 107.8 FM and also students who will be interning at the Educational Radio of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Tuesday (15/12). There are two types of agreed cooperation, there are sending KTP students to carry out apprenticeship activities to the Educational Radio of the Ministry of Education and Culture located in Yogyakarta and also the broadcasting of educational materials belonging to the Educational Radio of the Ministry of Education and Culture on Educational Technology Radio 107.8 FM. During the July-December 2020 semester break, there will be four TP TM 2017 students who will be interning at Radio of the Ministry of Education and Culture, namely: Novita Sari, Ninda Krismina, Atika Utami, and Noni Mardita.

Head of the Curriculum andEducational Technology Department, Dr. Abna Hidayati revealed that this collaboration was made in addition to meeting the agency’s Main Performance Indicator (MPI) targets, but also to expand opportunities for Curriculum andEducational Technology students to experience direct activities in a relevant field to Educational Technology. “Educational Technology students must get a lot of experience in the field according to what they have learned in class,” she said, Tuesday (15/12). In line with the statement, Deputy Dean 1 of FIP, Dr. Hadiyanto M.Ed., said that this collaboration is a positive move taken by the Curriculum andEducational Technology Department, which is not only beneficial for the interests of the department but also the faculty. “With innovation, support, enthusiasm, and momentum, FIP can become better,” he said in his speech, Tuesday (15/12). Deputy Dean 1 hopes in the future, Radio TP can disseminate information to students at the faculty level and can also present broadcast programs in two languages. “I believe, with the creativity of young people, these broadcasts can be packaged in a good way so that they become pleasant to hear,” he said.

Meanwhile, representatives from Educational Radio of the Ministry of Education & Culture, Innayah, S.Sos., as TV and Radio Managers at BPMRPK welcomed the intention of the Curriculum andEducational Technology Department to collaborate with BPMRPK for the first time. He explained that BPMRPK is one of the Unit Pelaksana Tugas (UPT) of the Pusat Data dan Informasi (Pusdatin) of the Ministry of Education and Culture which was previously known as the Pusat Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi Pendidikan (Pustekkom). In Educational Radio BPMRPK, there are two types of program models developed, namely the curriculum-based broadcast media model for classical learning from Early Childhood to High School, Major, and Special School levels. Another model is educational broadcast material which is intended for listeners from the general public. During a pandemic, Educational Radio BPMRPK is one of several learning resources provided by the Ministry of Education and Culture following Circular No. 15 of 2020 concerning Guidelines for Organizing Learning from Home in an Emergency Period for the Spread of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19).

Innayah added that during the apprenticeship period, students were also involved in becoming a radio team and practicing directly how to design broadcast programs, starting from writing scripts, producing broadcast material, and becoming broadcasters or reporters at the Educational Radio of the Ministry of Education and Culture. “Whatever interns want to learn, we are ready to help,” she said, Tuesday (15/12).
